FAQ
Questions, answered.
The things people most often ask before getting in touch. Don’t see yours? Just ask. There are no silly questions about technology.
I’m not sure what technology I need. Can you still help?
Yes, that’s exactly what HumanLayer Tech is for. You explain what’s slowing your business down in plain language, and we figure out whether the answer is a website change, an automation, an integration, AI, custom software, or something simpler.
What happens in the free consultation?
It’s a conversation about your business and the problem you want solved. We’ll ask questions, share initial thoughts on possible approaches, and explain what a sensible next step could look like. There’s no obligation and no sales pressure.
Do I need to be technical to work with you?
No. Everything is explained in plain English, and you’re only asked for the decisions that are genuinely yours to make: priorities, budget, and what “better” looks like. Technical detail is always available if you want it, but it’s never required.
Who will I actually be working with?
You work directly with Tedi Polena, the engineer designing and building your solution. There are no account managers or hand-offs between the person you talk to and the person doing the work.
Do you work with businesses outside Las Vegas?
Yes. HumanLayer Tech is based in Las Vegas and can meet in person in Las Vegas and Southern Nevada where that helps. Businesses anywhere in the United States are served remotely.
Can you work with the tools we already use?
Usually, yes. We start with the systems you already have (your CRM, email, spreadsheets, accounting software, and website) and connect or improve them before suggesting anything new.
How is pricing handled?
It depends on the problem, so there’s no one-size price list. After the consultation you’ll receive a clear proposal with scope, timeline, and cost before any work begins. We often recommend starting with a focused first project that proves its value before expanding.
What’s the difference between a project and a Technology Partner plan?
A project has a defined scope and finish line, like a new website, a specific automation, or a custom tool. A Technology Partner plan is an ongoing monthly relationship for everything that comes up after: updates, fixes, integrations, vendor decisions, and new ideas.
Do we have to use AI?
No. AI is one tool among many. It’s recommended only where it genuinely saves time or improves service. If conventional automation is the better solution, that’s what gets recommended.
Will we be locked in to HumanLayer Tech?
No. We build with widely used, well-supported technology, document what we build, and make sure you keep access to your own accounts, code, and data.
What happens after launch?
We make sure your team knows how to use what was built. After that you can request help as needed, or keep HumanLayer Tech on a Technology Partner plan for ongoing support and improvements.
How quickly will I hear back?
